Description
The Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is a collection of mammalian fossils. In this particular area, the Daemonilix (a small mammal), burrowed in a corkscrew tunnel. There are well preserved fossils, showing this phenomenon. I served as Artist in Residence for this National Park in Summer 2015, and this is one of the paintings donated to the National Park.
